End of Harvest

I've been learning to reconnect with Mother Nature recently; finding peace with her beauty, and feeling refreshed with her energy.

This Halloween, Kevin and I decided to spend some time appreciating the beauty of the outdoors. Living and walking in the moment--knowing that the leaves will change within days. The yellow leaves were stunning to be in, and I found myself staring into puddles and loosing myself to my day dreams. It was the perfect mindful meditation.

Autumn is such a great time of year because it allows us to see the importance of letting go. The trees let their leaves fall and they accept the season that is soon approaching. It is nice to know that something so beautiful is only here for a short while--only magnifying the importance of each moment.

The end of harvest is great time to reflect on the things we have grown from or things that have grown within--svadhyaya. All things cumulate at the end of harvest, and it is the time to pick what has grown and to cherish that; it was lovely to spend this walk among nature with the person who has seen my grow the most. We have learned so much about each other, and we have learned to be the best person we can because of the inspiration we have for one another.
