2017 was an amazing time because I was able to grow as a teacher. I spent a lot of my time focusing on my students and let my photography be set aside. Therefore I have a gap from February to May with my creative photography work. Thanks to Facebook's timehop I kept being reminded of my pixie cut before my husband and I started dating. From the beginning of our relationship I wanted to see how long I could get my hair to grow. I did pretty well getting to be past my shoulders and near my shoulder blades. However, I have thick and curly hair, and well I am a woman of fairly low maintenance. It seemed the longer my hair got, the more I hated having to wash my hair. Then came the timehop pixie shots, and I got the itch. Friends and family encouraged the change so on a Friday after school I made the appointment and said "chop it off". My students had a range of reactions. Some said nothing, some said they liked it, and others didn't know what to say. I'm glad I made the change, because it's easy, and it's just hair, it will grow back! It seems that 2017 was the Year of Trips to Vermont! This time I went in the summer with the same friend from the first trip. We decided to go camping and explore the Quechee. We walked around the gorge and found cute cemeteries and breweries. Again, I had a wonderful time and enjoyed the time away.
[ran out of MB again so I will continue the end of 2017 hopefully in my next post!]

A lot of things have happened since my last post in 2016. To help you (the viewer) to catch up I will segment the year into albums within this post. I created a mug with my crescent moon design. My husband and I attempted to create homemade candles for Christmas in 2016. We were somewhat successful. The apartment smelled amazing, but I do not miss how the kitchen was from the work-space. My husband and I also learned a lot about candle making. I bought new supplies in attempt to create some more this past summer however I was unsuccessful in making soy candles. I traveled to Vermont on an impromptu trip with a friend. It was fun being spontaneous since I usually don't take the time for relaxation. (I tend to have at least 2 or more jobs at one time) It was suppose to be a day trip, however since neither of us watched the news we didn't realize we traveled to the Green Mountain State right when a big snow storm was passing through! We found shelter at one very nice hotel, and then stayed at a Motel 6. We found the cute town of Winooski and walked in and explored. It truly was an amazing trip and I cherish the memories. Explored a new trail with my parents. "Easy in, easy out & the view is worth it!" During my February break my husband had to travel so our usual plans of heading south got cancelled. We decided instead to travel North. We explored the same areas of Vermont that I had explored with my friend. It was SUCH a wonderful trip and I'm happy that we were able to find the time to actually go on a vacation.
[continuing the past year in a new post since I ran out of MB in this blog post] Ever since I was a little girl I always wanted to be that person who consistently had a diary. I always thought it seemed like a fun thing to do, have this personal thing all your own. However, with it fail, I would within a month stop my daily writing.
I honestly forget why I stopped posting here—it was either new phone and forgot to download the app, the app wasn’t working on ways I felt it should or I did what I did when I was a little girl, I got distracted. so so my New Years resolution is to post here at least once a week. With at least some photographs I’ve taken. I’ve never been a person for words so I can’t promise anything interesting to read. 😂 |
