For some reason today I've been inspired by the alliteration of "f"; trying to think of fun ways to keep my blog posts daily and with themes. For example, "flowers for Friday" and on the future some to do with film images on Fridays. I thought of my good friend Jacqueline Winter. I went to her Instagram and had an idea. I want Friday's to be a day where I can have guest spots.. That way I can share with my readers (if I even have any) the wonderful images my friends have been able to capture. She has always had a natural eye for capturing "time images" ☺️ She's a wonderful poet, and has a way with words that I envy. Here is some of my favorite photographs she has taken, and only with her phone! (If you can believe it) I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. We grow, grow, steady as the morning I meant to post my first "Throwback Thursday" album yesterday but due to my lack of energy I didn't have time to get around to it.
• But that's my plan. • I want to every Thursday add a post with the best photographs from my own personal archive. It will help me reflect and edit. I find that's one of the things I need to do and grow as a photogpraher. To learn, how to know which photogpraher out of a set is the best. Also I looks forward to seeing my personal growth in capturing moments. • Everything is about practice: everyday is practice to becoming a better version of you-- This was at the beginning of the summer--just when the heat was turned on. It was nice to finally go on a hike take in the sun and feel recharged. The light was warm; it was peaking through the branches and bouncing off the leaves. Hikes ground me. It's in those quiet moments where I really connect and let go all at once. I need to be in nature. I need to be surrounded by green.
I also loved that Kevin allowed me to capture the moments, it can be a long walk when you're with a photographer. We like to make sure everything is lined up, we don't like leaving a spot till we know for sure we got our shot. I've been feeling a bit lost as of late and I want to use this as an outlet to balance my life. I want to have more reasons to pick up my camera and explore this world. I must "get back on my mat" in all aspects of my life--in my yoga practice, in being mindful of my day, and with how I practice taking photographs.
This is the world through my eyes, through all my lenses. |
